In 1976, students and staff at Dayton Elementary buried a time capsule intended to be opened 50 years later.
Now, half a century after it was laid to rest, the capsule has been unearthed and its contents are ready for public viewing.
The items will be on display in the school library during Dayton Elementary’s annual Fall Festival from 5-8 p.m. Nov. 6.
Following the event, the collection will be temporarily housed at the Marshall House Museum in Dayton.
Anyone with inquiries should contact Kerry Harding, school librarian, or Jocelyn Shoop, head teacher, at [email protected] or [email protected].
